Fire Damaged Desk

One of the first things that we need to do upon arriving at the home is to assess the damage to the structure and contents. 

The before photo shows the desk that was affected by a home fire. Our technicians brought the desk and other items back to our shop to try to restore them to before the fire condition. 

Some think that all we need to do is to wipe the desk and it will be clean and free from the fire damage.  There's more to it, involving many steps to save the wood without destroying it at the same time. 

The after picture shows how the desk looked after our technicians cleaned it.
