Rochester Do You Agree It Feels Like Spring?

In Rochester, Minnesota we have been experiencing above normal temperatures during the daytime. Yet this winter, we have received the normal amount of precipitation. Compared to last year, this year we didn't have amount of record breaking below zero temperatures for the long sustained periods of time. According to the National Weather Service website, this is a good thing! The snow melt is slower this year than last year which lessens the flooding chances. In two weeks, the National Weather Service will update the flooding forecast again.
SERVPRO of Rochester will continue to monitor the National Weather Services forecast. The National Weather Service is saying that the ground is very saturated, 99% and that if we receive heavy rains then we will have a greatly increased chance of flooding locally.
Please remember a few safety tips when you find yourself with rain or water coming in your home:
*as quickly as you can, move all the contents to a higher level or garage area
*check your sump pump to make sure it is working
