Preparing for Storms in Rochester Area
5/5/2020 (Permalink)
It's that time of year again. The trees, shrubs and flowers are starting to bud and we see signs of new life all around us. Spring and early summer can also be a time of strong storms. We at SERVPRO of Rochester want to make sure you are prepared and stay safe.
Here are a few tips:
*Make sure your gutters are free of debris and clean.
*Look for tree branches that extend over your roof or close to windows. Assess if they would create damage in a wind gust or strong storm.
*Have a battery operated flashlight and NOAA weather radio.
*Have a family plan ready in preparation of a strong thunderstorm or tornado. Talk about this plan with your family and practice.
It's always better to be prepared for whatever weather we have whether it's strong wind gusts, hail, rainstorms, tornadoes or flooding.
We are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even holidays.
