Are We Done With Winter Storms in Rochester, MN?

In Rochester, MN as we look at the weather forecast and see temperatures in the thirties and forties, we get excited that spring is near and we are done with snow. However, this week Rochester, MN may be getting a good dose of cold weather and multiple inches of snow!

SERVPRO of Rochester has some tips for preparing for a winter storm. 

• Check your lower level or basement in the utility room area. Look for any water intrusion on the floor. 
• Look along the exterior walls in the lower level and check, look, feel for any water. 
• Check the batteries in your weather radio, if you have one. Be prepared with extra batteries, flashlights, blanket, snacks.
• If you need to travel, make sure to have emergency items with you: windshield scraper, shovel, flashlight, blanket, bottle of water and candy bar just in case you get stuck.
